态势
巴格达咖啡馆66号位于连接大马士革与边境的2号公路，以及向东北延伸至帕尔米拉的公路交汇处。奥萨伊卡尔军用机场（由皇家盎格利亚团第2营于两日前肃清）位于该交叉点以南约15公里沙漠地带。
该区域沙漠地势起伏，分布着一系列低矮山脊，越往北地形越崎岖。当前无平民活动迹象。天气酷热且雾霾弥漫。当前时间为6月26日18时30分。
Situation
Bagdad Cafe 66 sits at the crossroads of Highway 2, running between DAMASCUS and the border, and the Highway running north-east to PALMYRA. The military airfield at OS SAYQAL, cleared two nights ago by 2 R ANGLIAN, lies about 15km to the south through the desert.
The desert in this area features a series of low ridges which become progressively rougher towards the north. There is no civilian presence in the area.
The weather is very hot and hazy. It is now 1830hrs, 26 June.
 
任务
皇家盎格利亚团第2营与本战斗群分队肃清奥萨伊卡尔机场后，苏格兰团第4营战斗群（4 SCOTS BG）被编入旅预备队。该战斗群正于杜迈尔东北部建立的因弗内斯前方作战基地（FOB）休整，并对推进途中受损的车辆装备进行紧急维护。休整期间，需根据需求执行维稳与支援任务。
据此，上级命令设立车辆检查站（VCP），阻止敌军利用巴格达咖啡馆66号交叉点自由通行。
Mission
Following the clearance of OS SAYQAL airfield by 2 R ANGLIAN and elements of this BG, 4 SCOTS BG has been placed in Bde Reserve. The BG is carrying out badly needed rest and maintenance of vehicles and equipment damaged during the advance from the border at Inverness FOB which has been established northeast of DUMAYR. While in reserve, 4 SCOTS BG is being tasked with stability and support operations as required.
In line with this, VCPs have been ordered to prevent free movement of enemy traffic through the crossroads at Bagdad Cafe 66.

Enemy Forces
Enemy military traffic and irregular forces have been using Highway 2 and the crossroads at "Bagdad Cafe 66" to evacuate troops and supplies to the west, and smuggling supplies and ammunition east to irregular forces operating against our supply lines.
Enemy forces in the area are mostly irregulars, although some stragglers from conventional forces may also use the highway. There are reports of enemy forces escaping north from the OS SAYOAL airfield and moving through this area. There are also reports of light enemy forces in the area to the north
 
行动计划
1.设立VCP：于巴格达咖啡馆66号交叉点北侧（代号韦塞克斯）与西侧（代号纽黑文）设立检查站，搜查所有民用车辆是否携带武器及违禁品。
2.拘押与移交：扣留可疑人员并押送回因弗内斯FOB，交由宪兵队（MP）处理。
3.作战原则：因可用兵力有限，避免陷入决定性交火。保持中央预备队机动待命，随时增援任一检查站。
Plan
Establish VCPs to the north (WESSEX) and west (NEWHAVEN) of the Bagdad Cafe 66 crossroads. Search all civilian traffic for weapons and contraband. Detain suspects and hand over to the MPs on return to Inverness FOB.
The force available for this task is limited, so do not become decisively or heavily engaged. Maintain a central reserve ready to move to either VCP as required.
